Strengths

The Catch

Who should consider it

Gamers with a premium budget who specifically want an HX3D processor, RTX 5080 laptop graphics, and a fast OLED display in a Legion chassis.

Who should skip it

Buyers stretching their budget or mainly shopping for the lowest price on RTX 5080 laptop graphics. If the premium CPU and display are not priorities, compare less expensive configurations first.

Price & value

At the checked price of $3,374.99, this is a worthwhile premium configuration for buyers who want the Legion chassis, HX3D CPU, and OLED together. Those features are part of what you are paying for; the RTX 5080 alone does not establish the value.

Best Buy’s advertised comparison was $4,399.99, with advertised savings of $1,025. That is the retailer’s comparison, not independently established real-world savings or a verified typical market price. Check the current total, including any taxes and shipping, before purchase.

Alternatives to compare

Compare current RTX 5080 laptop offers with other processors and displays, including Legion Pro 7i configurations. Match condition, memory, storage, GPU power limits, and warranty before comparing totals. No alternative price or availability is asserted here.

Availability & past analyses

The new Best Buy offer was recorded as ACTIVE at $3,374.99 on October 4, 2026. That offer is now expired. The original analysis and rating remain for reference; current price and availability may differ. Verify retailer specs and current price before purchase. Choose the Best Buy-sold new configuration rather than assuming Marketplace or open-box offers are equivalent.

This expired analysis stays at the same address with its historical pricing and original 4/5 Gherkin Good rating. That rating does not assess current pricing. Status changes are editorial updates, not automatic stock checks.

Dilly’s Original Verdict 🥒🥒🥒🥒

Gherkin Good

Strong premium hardware at the recorded sale price, with a substantial cost attached. Worth considering if these features fit your priorities, but not exceptional enough for five pickles. No Dilly’s Deal of the Week award has been issued.
