Strengths
- RTX 5070 Ti Laptop GPU with retailer-listed 12GB dedicated memory
- New condition from Best Buy rather than an unidentified Marketplace seller
- Ryzen 9 8940HX and 1TB SSD at the checked price
The Catch
- Only 16GB RAM; confirm upgrade access and cost if you need 32GB
- 165Hz IPS rather than OLED or a higher-resolution panel
- Exact GPU power limit remains unverified
- Retailer resolution text appears inconsistent; confirm exact pixels before ordering
- Current offer is from marketplace seller PC Heaven, not Best Buy directly
Who should consider it
Gamers seeking new condition and a 12GB laptop GPU around $1,800 who prioritize the GPU over screen resolution.
Who should skip it
Buyers who require OLED, 32GB RAM out of the box, or a confirmed maximum-power GPU.
Why this made the shortlist
The checked Best Buy ASUS TUF RTX 5070 offer was $1,599.99 with 16GB RAM and a 512GB SSD. This Strix costs $200 more for the listed RTX 5070 Ti and 1TB storage. That is a configuration comparison, not a measured performance claim.
Seller check — October 6, 2026
The $1,799.99 offer is sold and shipped by PC Heaven through Best Buy Marketplace. It is not a Best Buy direct-sale offer. Confirm this seller’s return policy and manufacturer warranty eligibility before buying.
